Formação do professor e os conhecimentos da psicologia

Abstract

This introductory text is to put into context the topic of "teachers education and knowledge about psychology" aiming at provoking questions and reflections for the discussions of the relevant Work Group. As the topic suggests that the knowledge of psychology constitutes the necessary background for teaching, we have placed the ongoing trend at teaching professionals in education and based on research of the knowledge which is the basis of the teaching profession. In the context of this current ongoing movement, which searches for a redefinition between university knowledge and the professional activity, is that we will analyze and discuss the background of psychology for teaching education.

Este texto introdutório tem por objetivo contextualizar a temática "formação do professor e os conhecimentos da psicologia" com o intuito de provocar questionamentos e reflexões para as discussões do Grupo de Trabalho em questão. Como o tema sugere que os conhecimentos de que a psicologia dispõe constituem saberes necessários à docência, situamos o movimento que está em curso na formação de profissionais do ensino e nas pesquisas sobre os saberes que estão na base da profissão docente. E é no contexto desse atual movimento, que busca redefinir as relações entre o conhecimento universitário e a atividade profissional, que analisaremos e discutiremos os conhecimentos da psicologia na formação docente.
