In the USSR, research religious practices of Evangelical Christians-Baptists traditionally passed in the context of the study of "sectarianism". In 1949-1950 gg. by the Council for Religious Affairs AUCECB strongly suggested to adhere to "the direction of the closure of origin of prayer houses of worship where the faithful should perform their religious rites, except only such urgent church requires a so-called spiritual farewell to the dying.
