'The modern trials to eliminate insanity in the name of the rational subject repress the latent poetry that is expressed in the deviant otherness. The bipolar difference of rationality and insanity in everyday life as well in psychiatry does away with transdifferent interstages. The underlying reasons are made clear by an analysis of Michel Foucault's and Jacques Derrida's writings. A striking fact is, that it cannot be spoken of insanity without referring to the (excluding) language of rationality.' (author's abstract)... view less
