• Mit dem Normungsverfahren der EN 12934 gelang es nationalen und europäischen Akteuren (vor allem Wirtschaftssubjekten), ihren jeweiligen Politikverflechtungsfallen (in bisherigen Regulierungsstrukturen) zu entkommen, indem ein koordiniertes Vorgehen korporrativer und kollektiver Akteure die Umsetzung zweier relevanter Ziele ermöglichte: a) die Anpassung der normengeleiteten Marktregulierung an die Herausforderung globaler Märkte für ein bestimmtes Segment der Bettwarenindustrie und b) die langfristige Sicherung von Interessen des Verbraucherschutzes, wenn auch über indirekte Verfahrenswege.
• By means of the standardization procedure regarding EN 12934, the actors at national and European levels (first of all economic agents) suceeded in escaping their respective trap of policy-interlacing (in previous regulation structures), since the soordinated approach of cooperative and collective actors allowed the implemtation of two relvant objectives: a) the adaption of market regulation in terms of standards to the challenges of global markets with respect to a certain sector of the bedfeather industry and b) the long-term support if interests of consumer protection, even though via indirect channels.
