Wem gehörte zwischen 1150 und 1250 die Herrschaft Mörz?

  • Diese Untersuchung macht wahrscheinlich, daß der erstmals 1161 erwähnte Burgward Mörz bei Beizig in der zweiten Hälfte des 12. und der ersten Hälfte des 13. Jahrhunderts zur Grafschaft Beizig gehörte, die vielleicht um 1200 in Lehnsabhängigkeit von den askanischen Herzögen von Sachsen geriet. Erst nach dem Aussterben des Grafenhauses um 1260 wurde mit dem größten Teil der Beiziger Grafschaft auch der Burgward Mörz direkt in das Herzogtum Sachsen eingegliedert.
  • This examination indicates the probability that the manor of Mörz near Belzig. first mentioned in 1161, in the second half of 12 th century and the frist half of 13 th century was part of the county of Belzig. Perhaps around 1200 the count of Belzig became dependent on the Askanian duke of Saxony. Only after the death of the last count of Belzig around 1260, along with the greater part of the county, the manor of Mörz was also incorporated directly into the dukedom of Saxony.
