Zentrum und Peripherie der geschlechtsspezifischen Phraseologismen im Deutschen : Bedeutung und Aspekte ihrer Verwendung
- Der vorliegende Beitrag befasst sich mit geschlechtsspezifischen Phraseologismen im Deutschen. Er setzt sich zum Ziel, sie nach ihrer Verwendung in der Sprachgemeinschaft in Zentrum und Peripherie zu gliedern. Werden die geschlechtsspezifischen Phraseologismen in der Sprachgemeinschaft verständlich und gemäß dem allgemein üblichen Sprachgebrauch verwendet, dann werden sie dem Zentrum zugeordnet. Phraseme hingegen, die als abwertend, derb, vulgär und diskriminierend gebraucht werden, werden als peripher angesehen. Die Untersuchung wird anhand eines Korpus von zwei phraseologischen Wörterbüchern durchgeführt und mit Belegen aus dem Mannheimer Referenzkorpus (DeReKo) untermauert
- This academic contribution deals with gender-specific phrases in German. The aim is to classificate them depending on the use into the division of centre and periphery. Into the centre are assigned those gender-specific phrases, which are used in the common language. Peripheral are on the other hand those gender-specific phrases, which are rude, vulgar and discriminating. The analysis is being performed on the basis of a corpus from two phraseological dictionaries and illustrated with examples from the Mannheimer Referenzcorpus (DeReKo). The result is, that the phrases of the thematic areas personal names, relationship links and characters from farytales belong to the centre. In the area of animals, human reproduction, marriage and sex there are a lot of phrases which can be counted to the centre. Alltogether 603 (85,65%) gender-specific phrases were identified as belonging to the centre. Gender-specific phrases belonging to the area of sexuality and visual appearance of women and prostitution belong in the majority to the periphery, alltogether 101 (14,35%). It's surprising that in the area of human reproduction there are a lot of extremely positively connotated phrases for women, which can be counted to the centre. Gender-specific phrases in the area of sex do not belong as much into the centre, but more to the periphery. The phrases of the area of animals belong predominantly to the centre, only a small group of this type belongs to the periphery.
