• In this contribution looks into the connectivity of the partial synonym of verbs bewilligen and genehmigen and also their confrontation with the antonym verhindern. The center of our attention is the research on the similarities and differences in the connectivity of the verbs and the determination of an influence of connectivity on the semantics of selected verbs. The analysis of connectivity of linguistic units is important, because the combinatorial properties of linguistic units are specific and unique in any given language. The methodological basis of the research and investigation of collocations in the context of lexicography and corpus linguistics are the lexicographical sources and corpora. The registration of collocations in the dictionaries given above and in the valence dictionary for German verbs and distribution from Helbig and Schenkel and in the online valence dictionary e-Valbu is compared with the results from the analysis of several corpora. The selection of the valence dictionaries is determined by the fact that valence is considered as the ability of the verb to occupy a certain number of positions (see Kozmová 2014). For the distinction between free and fixed word combinations the application of the frequency criterion and the "7K method" (see Ďurčo 2014) are applied.
