The Reflectory Method is a method developed by the Institute for Didactics of Geography of the WWU Münster, in which learners can immerse themselves in a kind of interactive audio book and influence the outcome of the story told through their own decisions. In this way, in the sense of the concept of Global Learning, system, evaluation and action competence should be promoted. Like the Reflectorys created so far, the Reflectory designed in the context of this work is based on one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals declared by the United Nations. The focus is on the SDG 14 "Life below Water" and covers various topics such as fisheries, energy supply, tourism and flood protection in the example of Indonesia. This allows learners to simulate the consequences of more or less sustainable actions on the resource "ocean".
