Nebengruppe weniger etablierten Isopropylcyclopentadienylliganden eingesetzt.
"constrained geometry complex" ansa-Cp'(Me2SitBuN-κN)TiCl2 realisierbar.
Alle
synthetisierten Komplexe wurden nach Möglichkeit mittels CHNS-Elementaranalyse,
Röntgenstrukturanalyse, Schmelzpunktbestimmung, NMR-, IR-, UV-Vis- und
ESR-Spektroskopie sowie SQUID-Magnetometrie charakterisiert.
- This doctoral thesis focuses on the preparation and characterization of titanium,
zirconium and hafnium complexes coordinating with bulky alkylcyclopentadienyl
ligands. For this purpose, tert-butyl-substituted Cp derivatives were primarily used as
well as isopropylcyclopentadienyl ligands, which are less established in complexes
with group four elements. UV-Vis spectroscopic studies clarified correlations of
absorption maxima and intensities with the substitution pattern on the Cp ligand, the
transition metal species as well as other coordinating ligands.
2,6-Diisopropylphenolato-, 2,6-di-tert-butylphenolato- and 3,5-dimethylpyrazolido
complexes could be obtained through substitution reactions. Compounds with
bidentate ligands were synthesized using sodium acetate, potassium pivalate, and
lithium benzoate. Acid-base reactions starting from Cp''TiBr2N(TMS)2 allowed the
introduction of monodentate ligands such as pyrrolidine, piperidine and
tert-butylamine. The insertion of bidentate ligands such as
N,N'-diisopropyl-o-phenylenediamine and N,N'-dimethylethylenediamine was possible
by using the constrained geometry complex ansa-Cp'(Me2SitBuN-κN)TiCl2.
The reduction of Cp''TiBr3 with manganese yields [Cp''TiBr(µ-Br)]2 besides small
amounts of [(Cp''TiBr2)2(µ-O)] due to almost inevitable hydroxide contaminations within
the reducing agent. Specific reaction conditions enabled the reaction of
[RCpTiBr(µ-Br)]2 with the TEMPO radical and allowed the preparation of
Cp''TiBr2(TEMPO), Cp''TiBr(TEMPO)2 as well as Cp'''TiBr2(TEMPO). Herein cleavage
tendencies of the Ti–O bond were determined by quantitative EPR spectroscopy at
room temperature. Using the TEMPO ligand, Cp''ZrCl2(TEMPO), Cp''ZrCl(TEMPO)2,
and Cp''HfCl(TEMPO)2 could be prepared at room temperature and were furthermore
analyzed by X-ray crystallography. Consecutive reactions with carboxamides like
N,N-dimethylisobutyramide, N,N-dimethylacetamide, 1,3-dimethylimidazolidinone,
tetramethylurea and acetamide enabled the formation of new titanium(III) complexes,
which form zwitterionic structures while coordinating. Where applicable, all synthesized
complexes were characterized by CHNS elemental analysis, X-ray structural analysis,
melting point determination, NMR-, IR-, UV-Vis and EPR-spectroscopy as well as
SQUID-magnetometry.
