  • In this work it was tried to find a new way for a clinical comparability of the recording systems GAMMA-CADIAX® and ZEBRIS-JMA®. The reproducibility of the individual devices as well as the sagittal condylar guidance (HKN) and the Bennett angle of both recording systems were compared among themselves. A measurement with both systems was installed accomplished at the same time at the head. The HKN can be measured reproducibly with both recording systems. The Bennett angle was better reproducible with the JMA®. The comparison of the two recording systems among themselves showed a good to very good comparability for the HKN and for the Bennett angle a good comparability only by simultaneous measurement. The best agreement was found when both measuring systems were assembled simultaneously. This study showed that the measuring disposition and the measuring system have an influence on the result of the measurement. By the small weight and the simple assembly of the JMA® it was for the first time possible to install the JMA® without impairment of the measuring quality of the CADIAX® system additionally at the head for patients and to accomplish clinically 2 measurements synchronously.
