• Die vorliegende Dissertationsschrift untersucht wie das Mapuzungun, die Sprache der Mapuche, Handlungsbeteiligung, Zeitrelationen und Modalität morphologisiert. Die Arbeit legt sowohl eine Klassifizierung des Mapuzungun vor als auch Ergebnisse, die für allgemeine Typologisierung relevant sind. Für den Bereich der Handlungsbeteiligung präsentiert die Arbeit ein multi-dimensionales Modell, anhand dessen die Systematik, nicht nur des Mapuzungun, beschrieben werden kann. Für die Beschreibung der Semantik temporaler Merkmale und Beziehungen, präsentiert die Arbeit ein Drei-Ebenen-Modell. Anhand der Ergebnisse der Untersuchung des Mapuzungun zeigt die Arbeit auf, dass alle drei Bereiche eng miteinander in Beziehung stehen. Die Art dieser Beziehung wird in der Arbeit entfaltet.
• This doctoral thesis examines how Mapuzungun, the language of the Mapuche, morphologically realizes relational alignment, temporal relationships and modality. The thesis presents both a classification of Mapuzungun and discusses its ramifications for general typological theory. The thesis introduces a multi-dimensional-model for the depicting of the system of relational alignment and a three-level-model for the representation and the portrayal of the system of temporal features and relations. The thesis shows that the three afore mentioned essential sectors (relational alignment, temporal relations, and modality) are highly intertwined, although independent.
