Autonomes System zur Herstellung von Organoblechen und Preforms
Autonomous System for the manufacturing of Organic Sheets and Preforms
- Weight reduction in aerospace and automotive structures requires innovative materials and production technique. In the case of carbon fibre reinforced plastics (CFRP) the materials have shown their potentials over the last decades, the goal for now is to achive competitive production rates. One process chain for that purpose is the preforming of semi-finished materials. The precise and fast production of those preforms is a complex challenge for manual layup and problems in handling may arise just as a matter of size. This work focuses on the autonomous production of preforms by robotic layup of individual cutpieces of semi-finished materials without human interaction. First, a dedicated computer-vision system was developed, tested and validated concerning reliability and accuracy. A prototypical digital workflow together with a minimal manufacturing execution system was designed to integrate CAx, computer vision system and industrial robot to an autonomous production system.Weight reduction in aerospace and automotive structures requires innovative materials and production technique.
