Abstract

he aim of the thesis is to provide a coupled software system which enables the numerical simulation of time-dependent fluid-structure interactions occuring at plates, shells or membranes. Turbulent flows can be captured either by the k-epsilon model or by large-eddy simulation. The adaption of the fluid mesh to the deformed structures is done by means of the ALE formulation. As real examples from civil engineering a membranous roof in front of an office building and the wind tunnel model of a mobile umbrella are taken into account.
