• The topic of this work is to study the role of women in the male dominated crime series Tatort. It is analyzed what kind of characteristics and behaviors the female investigators have and whether all of the women in Tatort have those characteristics in common. The thesis examines the relationship of the female commissioners to their male counterparts, especially in terms of their gender and stereotypical differences and similarities. Furthermore there is a comparison of the typical female commissioner and the typical male investigator.
