Monetarization models for online magazines : an analysis of potential paid content strategies on the basis of the web magazine “Business-Adel“ of “Adelmachers“ publication series

  • The thesis objective is a better understanding regarding paid-content as a monetarization-tool.The approach for the conceptual framework of this thesis is a literature study. The study shows that successful paid-content-offers are based on three key competitive factors: being up-to-date / refresh period, exclusiveness, and additional value. Additionally the product or service should be of very high quality to justify the purchasing price. The findings of this research are illustrated with and applied on examples from the online-magazines „Business-Adel“ of „Adelmachers“ publication series.
