The methodology of proceeding the bachelor thesis includes both literature and empir-ical analysis by observation and comparison. In addition to that a survey was compiled asking the key question: „Which methods were taught in German performing schools?“ Moreover an interview with the Germanactress Constance Klemenz and singer Jan Ammann was performed to get more visibility and a better overview about different ways of acting. The thesis consists of five chapters. After the introduction, the second chapter de-scribes the story line of Rebecca, as well as it provides information about the novel, the film productions and the musical. Furthermore there is a description of the main characters of Rebecca. The third chapter gives an overview about various methods of acting. Beyond that it compares differences between Camera Acting and Stage Acting in general. The analysis of this thesis takes place in chapter 4 whereby the variances between Camera Acting and Stage Acting are worked out on the basis of Rebecca. During the process of evaluating the differences certain scenes from both the musical and the movies were compared. Finally chapter five is representing the conclusion of the bachelor thesis.
