Analytic expressions for the phase shifts for short-range potentials

Summary

When calculating the phase shifts by perturbation methods one arrives at multiple integrals. In this paper however we show that with the potential\(V\left( r \right) = \left( {1/r} \right)\int\limits_m^M \sigma \left( a \right) \exp \left[ { - ar} \right]da, m > 0, M< \infty ,\sigma \left( a \right)\) a generalized function, we arrive at an equation which can be transformed into an infinite linear system of equations. The solution to the finite system gives the approximate phase shifts in analytic form in all the parameters.

Nel calcolo degli spostamenti di fase con i metodi perturbativi, si giunge ad integrali multipli. In questo articolo si dimostra che invece col potenziale\(V\left( r \right) = \left( {1/r} \right)\int\limits_m^M \sigma \left( a \right) \cdot \cdot \exp \left[ { - ar} \right]da, m > 0, M< \infty ,\sigma \left( a \right)\) una funzione generalizzata, si perviene ad un'equazione che può essere trasformata in un sistema lineare infinito di equazioni. La soluzione del sistema finito dà gli spostamenti di fase approssimati in forma analitica in tutti i parametri.
