About this book

After an introduction that traces the impact of book printing on the literary history of the 15^th and early 16^th centuries, the volume proposes three models for the concept of "literary interest formation": (1) Nuremberg as a paradigm of urban literature; (2) The impact of reform movements on literary production and reception; and (3) the protagonists and works of German humanism.
