Abstract
We find in Jacques Derrida's correspondence with two American feminists, Christie V.
McDonald and Verena Andermatt Conley (Chorégraphies and Voice II) many references
to medical knowledge. This article aims at examining how the various borrowings
from this field interact in Derrida's thought, by specifying in particular their
inscription in the process of the deconstruction of the structures and of the systems
of our traditional rationality. Considering the reciprocity of this original interaction
between philosophy and medicine, this article also points out some situations in which
medical practice could benefit from modes of reflexion and from concepts developed
by Derrida.
