Abstract
A major threat to the validity of longitudinal cohort studies is non-response to follow- up, which can lead to erroneous conclusions. The profile of chronic diseases non-respondents is therefore important, but has rarely been assessed. The objective of this study was to evaluate the number and profile of non-respondents to the self-reported questionnaires among patients included in the Swiss Inflammatory Bowel Disease Cohort (SIBDC).
