Surface-confined and Bulk Reactions of Alkynes

Abstract:

In this thesis, five series of novel alkyne derivatives were designed and synthesized and studied in three aspects: (a) the self-assembly and surface-confined polymerization of alkynes on Ag(111), Ag(877), Au(111) and Cu(111) surfaces investigated by the use of STM under UHV; (b) synthesis of large area of 2D graphdiyne nanofilm on Cu foil by modified Glaser-Hay homo-coupling of alkynes; (c) electronic device applications of alkynes such as molecular junctions and organic batteries.
