Abstract

In the present work the synthesis of 5,5-dimethyl-5,6-dihydro-2H- thiazines via a new one-pot synthesis is described. These new thiazines are able to undergo addition reactions with acyclic and cyclic dialkyl phosphites and dimethyl phosphine oxide. In the case of chiral, racemic thiazines diastereomeric ratios up to 92:8 were observed. The addition of diethylphosphite to 4,9- dihydro-3H-beta-carboline leads to a new alpha-aminophosphonic acid ester. Furthermore two regioselective reductions of 3- thiazolines and 5,6-dihydro-2H-thiazines are introdruced, followed by the conversion into some new ureas and N-acyl thiazolidines with phenyl isocyanate and benzoyl chloride. An alternative route to N-acyl thiazolidines is the reduction of N- acyl iminium iones. Two new methods are described. The Ugi reaction with 4,9-dihydro-3H-beta-carboline, carboxylic acids andisonitriles leads to some new totally protected alpha-amino acids. With the use of chiral acids or isonitriles the diastereoselectivity of the reaction was studied.
